A small Persian buff pottery storage jar, the spherical body slightly carinated at the shoulder, with flat base and everted rim. The vessel decorated in umber slip with long-necked water birds separated with stack of chevrons, and umber bands above, below and around the rim. Vessel measures 67 mm/2.7 ins. high. Some encrustation on the base, two large chips to the rim (one rather crudely repaired), but the decoration remarkably fresh, c. 2nd Millennium B.C.ANE39 A Near Eastern bronze archer's ring, c. 8th Century B.C. : £ 90A Near Eastern bronze archer's ring with incised linear decoration, measuring 1.5 ins./40 mm in diameter. A small Palestinian hemispherical pottery bowl in coarse buff ware, with a single row of pricked decoration below the rim, measuring 40 mm/1.5 ins. high and 98 mm/3.8 ins. in diameter.
