An inexpensive example of Predynastic pottery.EA87 The upper part of a large polychrome wooden shabti, New Kingdom, 14th-13th Century B.C. : SOLDThe upper part of a large polychrome wooden shabti cut from just below the waist and measuring 150 mm/6.1 ins. in height. Much polychrome decoration remains on the headdress, face and upper chest. The face coloured white with expressive black almond-shaped eyes, the headdress white and with traces of a red, blue and white collar. Three lines of clear incised hieroglyphs below the waist which identify the owner as the ‘Agent Pahu’. Some damage to the reverse, but the front essentially intact.
