EA16 An alabaster jar, 7th-2nd Century B.C. : £ 295

An alabaster jar of cylindrical form, with flat base, slightly faring sides and rounded rim, measuring 63 mm/2.5 ins. high and 50 mm/2 ins. in diameter at the rim, Late Dynastic - Ptolemaic Period, 7th-2nd Centuries B.C.

A mottled pale green feldspar papyrus column amulet, measuring 38 mm/1.5 ins. high. A finely modelled example. Late Dynastic Period, c. 1085-332 B.C.
Previously in the collection of Hugh Stanley Russell (1924-2000), a noted collector of Egyptian antiquities.

EA18 A good-sized glazed faience ushabti figure, inscribed for 'Kesjmerennebes', 27th-30th Dynasty, c. 525-332 B.C. : £ 525 NEW!

A pale blue glazed faience ushabti,  measuring 125 mm/5 ins. high, an impressed inscription in the form of a 'T' identifies the deceased as Kesjmerennebes. The figure stands on an integral plinth with a back pillar, a seed bag over the left shoulder, and has a well-modelled attractive face.  A small inoffensive chip to the beard and to one hand, but a nice example of the type. 27th-30th Dynasty, c. 525-332 B.C.  Mounted on a perspex block.

EA19 A turquoise blue composition ushabti of 'Iry', reputedly from Abydos, 22nd Dynasty, c. 945-715 B.C. : SOLD

A turquoise blue composition ushabti, measuring 110 mm/4.2 ins. high, a bold single column of black painted hieroglyphs on the front naming the deceased as 'Iry'. The implements, seed bag, fillet and eyes also in black. Some discolouration but intact, reputedly from Abydos, 22nd Dynasty, 945-715 B.C. Mounted on a wooden base.

EA20 A banded alabaster cup, Late Dynastic - Ptolemaic Period, 600-30 B.C. : £ 450

A good-sized banded alabaster cup measuring 100 mm/3.9 ins. high, with a flat base, thick flaring sides, rounded rim and hollowed out interior. Rim worn, some minor chips to the base but otherwise condition good, Late Dynastic - Ptolemaic Period, 600-30 B.C.
Previously in the private collection of a University of Oxford academic.

EA21 A good-sized alabastron, 7th-2nd Century B.C. : £ 450

An alabastron, with disc rim, short cylindrical neck, the shoulders carved with vestigial lugs, flaring slightly to a flattened base in banded alabaster. The alabastron measures 140 mm/5.6 ins. high. Late Dynastic - Ptolemaic Period, 7th-2nd Centuries B.C.
