EA22 Ushabti for Padiwesir, 30th Dynasty, 380-343 B.C. : SOLD

A pale blue glazed faience ushabti tomb figure, measuring 91 mm/3.6 ins. high, inscribed with three horizontal rows of large clear hieroglyphs reading "Sameref priest Padiwesir, begotton of the Lady of the House Astresh", some brown staining on the face and left shoulder, otherwise condition good. Reputedly from Abydos, 30th Dynasty, 380-343 B.C.
Previously in the collection of Hugh Stanley Russell (1924-2000), a noted collector of Egyptian antiquities.

EA23 A painted pottery ushabti, Third Intermediate Period, c. 1069-747 B.C. : £ 135

A blue painted terracotta ushabti, with details added in black, including a vertical column of hieroglyphs on the front. The ushabti stands 80 mm/3 ins. high. A chip to the foot, a horizontal fracture above the ankles repaired and minor surface wear, but an inexpensive example of the type. Third Intermediate Period, c. 1069-747 B.C. Mounted on a perspex block.

EA24 A turquoise glazed faience ushabti for Lankhmut, 21st Dynasty, c. 1069-945 B.C. : £ 295

A turquoise blue glazed faience ushabti for "Lankhmut" with a clear vertical frontal column of painted hieroglyphs, measuring 104 mm/4.1 ins. high. Modelling relatively crude as is typical of this period. A horizontal fracture repaired, a small chip to the face and some wear to the glaze particularly on the reverse, 21st Dynasty, c. 1069-945 B.C.

A painted terracotta flat-backed ushabti, measuring 75 mm/3 ins. high, traces of white slip and powder blue glaze. Late Dynastic Period, c. 1085-332 B.C.

EA26 A turquoise faience uninscribed ushabti, Ptolemaic Period, c. 3rd Century B.C. : £ 85 NEW!

A turquoise faience uninscribed ushabti, measuring 88 mm/3.4 ins. high, rather cursorily modelled as is typical of the type. The lower part darker in colour, a chip to the rear of the foot, and some encrustation on the reverse, otherwise condition good, Ptolemaic Period, c. 3rd Century B.C.

EA27 A blue-green faience uninscribed ushabti, Late Dynastic Period, c. 6th–3rd Century B.C. : £ 120 NEW!

A blue-green faience uninscribed ushabti, measuring 77 mm/3 ins. high, with black pillar and integral pedestal base. Some pitting of the surface, but intact and an inexpensive example, Late Dynastic Period, c. 6th–3rd Century B.C. Mounted on a mahogany base.

EA28 A turquoise faience ushabti for Lankhmut, 21st Dynasty, c. 1069-945 B.C. : SOLD

A turquoise blue glazed faience ushabti for "Lankhmut" with a frontal vertical column of painted hieroglyphs, measuring 97 mm/3.9 ins. high. Repaired from fragments, glaze worn and the modelling relatively crude as is typical of this period, but an inexpensive example, 21st Dynasty, c. 1069-945 B.C.

EA29 A large polychrome terracotta ushabti, New Kingdom, 1550-1069 B.C. : £ 495

A large painted polychrome terracotta ushabti measuring 152 mm/6.2 ins. high, traces of white slip on the body, cream slip for the face and hands, and the wig and facial details in black. A worn vertical column of black hieroglyphs on the front. A horizontal fracture repaired but an attractive example of the type, New Kingdom, 1550-1069 B.C.

An uninscribed blue glazed faience ushabti, measuring 70 mm/2.7 ins. high, a horizontal fracture repaired and the glaze worn. Modelling relatively crude as is typical of this type, Late Dynastic Period, c. 664-332 B.C.
