EA7 New Kingdom cosmetic pot, c. 18th Dynasty, 1500-1400 B.C. : £ 220

Flat-bottomed tapered cosmetic pot in crystalline alabaster with out-turned lip. Pot measures 53 mm/2 ins. in height and 68 mm/2.7 ins. in diameter. Some minor chips to rim and traces of kohl inside. An unusual form, early New Kingdom, c. 18th Dynasty, 1500-1400 B.C.

EA8 Late Period cosmetic pot, c. 600 B.C. : £ 195

Bulbous alabaster cosmetic pot in banded alabaster with narrow, grooved neck. Pot measures 64 mm/2.5 ins. in height and 60 mm/2.3 ins. maximum diameter. Some minor chips to the base and neck and traces of kohl inside. A very unusual form for which we have been unable to find a parallel. However, expert opinion suggests that this piece probably dates to the Late Dynastic Period, c. 600 B.C. An old Christie's auction label on base.

EA9 Middle Kingdom cosmetic pot, 12th Dynasty, c. 1800 B.C. : SOLD

Small high-shouldered cosmetic pot in honey-coloured alabaster with a low raised rim around the aperture. Pot measures 34 mm/1.3 ins. in height and 35 mm/1.4 ins. in diameter. Some minor chips on the inside of the rim, otherwise a fine example with traces of kohl inside. Middle Kingdom, 12th Dynasty, 1800 B.C.
