Reputedly found in the Fayum, Egypt, but more likely to be Saharan Neolithic in origin. A good-sized complete undamaged example, c. 5000 B.C.Ex Peter Negus Collection.ST33 A Nordic Bronze Age axe-hammer, c. 1500 B.C. : £ 90A Nordic Bronze Age mottled grey stone triangular axe-hammer, drilled for hafting, measuring 90 mm/3.6 ins. in length. Some blunting of the cutting edge and abrasion towards the posterior but a nice example, Baltic States, c. 1500 B.C.
ST34 A small Late Neolithic adzehead, Germany, c. 2000 B.C. : £ 25A small black stone adze head measuring 32 mm/1.2 ins. in length, the cutting edge polished, and the stone speckled red. From Germany, Late Neolithic, c. 2000 B.C. Attractive stone.
