GR7 A blackware pelike from the Greek colonies of southern Italy, c. 4th Century B.C. : £ 365

A blackware tall-necked pelike from the Greek colonies of southern Italy, measuring 9.0 ins./230 mm high, one shoulder decorated with a cream-coloured garland flanked by flowers. Some restoration to the rim and some inoffensive encrustation on base, but an attractive vase, c. 4th century B.C.

GR8 A Cypriote Black-on-Red Ware pottery oinochoe, c. 750-600 B.C. : £ 750

A good-sized Cypriote Black-on-Red Ware pottery oinochoe, the body decorated with groups of umber concentric bands with zig-zag decoration on the handle and bands around the neck and trefoil lip. Vessel measures 250 mm/10 ins. high. Small patches of the original colour remain, fired to buff in areas, with some wear and encrustation. Cypriot Iron Age, c. 750-600 B.C.
Acquired by a private collector in Cyprus in 1968 and brought into the UK in 1969.

GR9 A Greek black glazed juglet, c. 4th century B.C. : £ 140

A Greek black glazed juglet with single high-arched handle measuring 97 mm/3.8 ins. high. Some encrustation on the foot, loss of glaze on the upper handle, minor wear and the rim repaired, but a pleasing vessel, c. 4th century B.C.

GR10 A Greek buff miniature hydria, c. 5th Century B.C. : £ 145

A Greek buff miniature hydria with umber bands around the neck and mid-body, measuring 71 mm/2.8 ins. high, a chip to the rim, the bowl filled with earth, and some minor wear and encrustation, c. 5th Century B.C.

GR11 A small Cypriote White Painted Ware shallow bowl, 7th-8th Century B.C. : £ 125

A small Cypriote buff coloured White Painted Ware shallow bowl, measuring 107 mm/4.2 ins. in diameter across the handles. Bowl has two small loop handles and is decorated on the interior and exterior with encircling concentric umber bands, Cypriot Iron Age, 7th-8th Century B.C. Some very minor wear and encrustation, but generally in fine condition.
