ROM1 A Roman red ware askos, c. 2nd-3rd Century A.D. : SOLD

A Roman red ware askos, measuring 146 mm/5.7 ins. long and 86 mm/3.5 ins. high. Vessel has a grooved loop handle, tubular pouring spout and circular funnel mouth. Some minor wear, otherwise condition good, c. 2nd-3rd Century A.D.
Previously in a Dutch private collection.

ROM2 A provenanced Roman urn excavated near Diekirch, Luxembourg in 1862 : £ 285 NEW!

A Roman high-shouldered brown pottery urn measuring 89 mm/3.5 ins. high. A chip to the rim, a shallow chip to the body and some inoffensive surface wear, otherwise condition good, 1st Century A.D.

ROM3 A good-sized Samian bowl fragment, reputedly found in London, 1st–2nd Century A.D. : £ 85 NEW!

A good-sized Samian pottery fragment comprising the greater part of a footed bowl, measuring 99 mm/3.8 ins. in diameter. About a quarter of the bowl lost and the foot missing, some minor wear, otherwise condition good, an impressed rosette in the centre of the bowl. Reputedly found in London, 1st–2nd Century A.D.

A good-sized Roman North African Red Ware pottery bowl, measuring 159 mm/6.3 ins. in diameter. An inoffensive rim chip and some minor encrustation, otherwise condition good. From Tunisia, 2nd–3rd Century A.D.
